Insurance Software Experts
SaaS platform development, modernization, and long-term stewardship for insurance brokers, agencies, and the vendors that serve them.
PALADEM has built SaaS platforms for insurance brokers and agencies across health, property and casualty, life, commercial, and dental insurance. Our insurance software experts design and modernize the platforms producers, service teams, and insureds use every day: quoting and comparison workflows, policy administration, commissions, claims intake, compliance-aware data handling, and the integrations that tie them to agency management systems and carrier APIs. We treat insurance platforms as long-lived assets, not one-time deliverables.
Lines of Insurance We Have Worked Across
Each line carries its own workflow conventions, regulatory surface, and integration landscape. Our experience spans the set below, which lets us reuse proven platform primitives while respecting the details that differ from line to line.
Health Insurance
Individual and group health workflows, including quoting, enrollment, eligibility, and renewals. HIPAA technical safeguards are designed into the architecture rather than bolted on, and PHI is isolated from non-protected data so the blast radius of any single change stays contained.
Property & Casualty (P&C)
Personal and commercial P&C platforms covering quoting, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals. We integrate with comparative raters, carrier APIs, and agency management systems so producers can move from quote to bind without leaving the platform.
Life Insurance
Term and permanent life workflows, including illustration delivery, application intake, underwriting coordination with carriers, and in-force service. We design life platforms to carry the longer-duration policy data model and the reporting cadence that long-duration products require.
Commercial Insurance
Commercial lines platforms where risk profiles, coverage stacks, and producer licensing all vary by account. We model account hierarchies, locations, exposures, and coverages as first-class entities so the platform can scale from small-commercial to larger middle-market accounts without a rewrite.
Dental Insurance
Group and voluntary dental workflows covering plan setup, enrollment, claims intake, and broker portals. We design the platform so plan variations, network lookups, and service-code handling live in configuration rather than hard-coded paths.
Our Insurance Software Services
Custom Insurance SaaS Development
We design and build broker and agency SaaS platforms end to end, from initial architecture through production deployment. Our engagements target the long-lived core of the platform: the quoting, policy, commissions, and integration layers that the business depends on for a decade or more.
Legacy Platform Modernization
Insurance platforms rarely tolerate a big-bang rewrite. We use incremental modernization to stabilize the existing system, carve the surface area into bounded modules, and migrate module by module behind feature flags. Producers and service teams keep working while the platform moves forward.
Integration Architecture
Broker and agency platforms live inside an ecosystem of agency management systems, comparative raters, carrier APIs, document and e-signature providers, and accounting systems for commissions. We design the integration layer so each external system can be swapped or extended without rewriting business logic.
Compliance-Aware Data Design
HIPAA on health insurance workflows, producer licensure across lines, and state and federal regulatory surfaces that sit on top of each line: the compliance landscape is real. We design the data model, access controls, and audit trail to carry compliance obligations by default, which keeps the platform defensible as regulations evolve.
Platform Stewardship & Support
We offer long-term stewardship for production insurance platforms: dependency upgrades, security patching, performance tuning, incident response, and feature work. Our stewardship engagements are sized to the real surface area of your codebase rather than a fixed retainer that drifts out of alignment with reality.
Run Your Insurance Agency on PALADEM Platforms
When an agency needs working software now rather than a full custom build, we also offer productized platforms under the PALADEM brand that pair with our custom insurance work. PALADEM Grow is the foundation of our insurance agency snapshot, PALADEM Collect handles commission and premium-finance billing workflows, and custom software fills the gaps where a productized platform will not go the distance.
PALADEM Grow for Agency Marketing, Quote Funnels & Renewal Follow-Up
PALADEM Grow is pre-configured for independent insurance agencies as the foundation of our Agency OS snapshot. It covers lead capture, quote request funnels, automated first-response, renewal and cross-sell sequences, reputation management, AI voice agents for after-hours calls, and commission-aware pipelines. Agencies get working CRM, marketing, and phone workflows on day one rather than months of configuration.
PALADEM Collect for Commission, Agency Billing & Premium-Finance Workflows
Our unified payment processing and gateway platform handles the non-premium money flows that sit around the carrier relationship: producer commission splits, agency service fees, consulting retainers, broker-of-record transitions, and premium-finance companies that collect directly from insureds. Hosted payment pages, virtual terminals, and recurring billing run under consolidated merchant services rather than a patchwork of provider accounts.
Custom Software When Productized Platforms Fall Short
Productized platforms cover common agency patterns well, but insurance operations often carry carrier-specific integrations, AMS replacements or bridges, compliance and records-retention obligations, or specialty distribution models that fall outside those patterns. When that happens, we build custom software from the ground up under our Software Stewardship Framework™ so the custom work becomes a long-lived asset rather than a one-time script.
Why PALADEM?
- Built for Insurance’s Long Horizon. Insurance platforms live for a decade or more and carry regulatory, financial, and operational weight. We design for that horizon, not for the launch demo.
- US-Based Architecture, Global Delivery. Senior US architects lead every engagement, supported by a global engineering team for efficient, cost-effective delivery. See our full services for how we structure engagements.
- Software Stewardship Approach. Every insurance engagement is guided by our Software Stewardship Framework™, which treats your platform as a long-lived asset to be cared for across all eight stewardship pillars rather than a one-time deliverable.

Which lines of insurance has PALADEM built software for?
PALADEM has built SaaS platforms for insurance brokers and agencies across health, property and casualty, life, commercial, and dental insurance. That mix has covered individual and group health, personal and commercial P&C, term and permanent life, and employer-sponsored dental workflows. The shared thread is broker-facing and agency-facing software, not carrier core systems.
Do you work with independent agencies, MGAs, or direct carriers?
Our insurance work has historically centered on broker and agency-facing platforms: independent agencies, general agents, and the SaaS providers that serve them. We are comfortable integrating with carrier APIs, rating engines, and agency management systems, but the applications we design and build are typically the interface between producers, service teams, and insureds rather than carrier policy administration cores.
How do you handle compliance requirements like HIPAA and state licensure on insurance platforms?
Compliance is a first-class design concern, not a late-stage checklist. For health insurance workflows, we treat HIPAA technical safeguards as part of the architecture: minimum-necessary data handling, encryption in transit and at rest, auditable access, and clear separation of PHI from non-protected data. For licensure-sensitive workflows, we design the data model to carry producer licensing state and enforce it at the workflow layer so unlicensed producers cannot quote or bind outside their authority. This work falls under our Security Stewardship and Business Stewardship pillars.
Can you modernize a legacy broker or agency platform without disrupting daily operations?
Yes. Insurance platforms typically cannot tolerate a big-bang cutover because producers and service teams depend on the system every business day. We use incremental modernization: we stabilize what is fragile, carve the surface area into bounded modules, migrate module by module behind feature flags, and run the new and legacy paths side by side until the new path is proven. The platform stays shippable throughout, consistent with our Engineering Stewardship pillar.
Do you integrate with agency management systems and carrier APIs?
Yes. Broker and agency platforms rarely live in isolation. Our integrations typically include agency management systems, comparative raters, carrier APIs for quoting and policy status, document management and e-signature providers, and accounting systems for commissions and settlements. We design the integration layer so that each external system can be swapped or extended without rewriting business logic, which matters on a five to ten year horizon.
